Universal Fire & Security

Absolute shambles of a company!!!!! They came in to my block of apartments to install a heat system. It was a joke from day 1! They needed access to every property so I arranged with the engineers (if you can call them that) I would book an afternoon off work to let them in l, to find they had gone home early for the day! This happened three times! I was “lucky” the fourth time to actually get them into my property where they made an absolute mess and then happily disappeared leaving me to clean it up! Ironically they were installing a fire prevention/alarm system……… then blocked all the fire exits/corridors every evening when they left with their materials, tools, trucking and ladders!! Honestly I can’t advice you enough to just not waste your time with these jokers if your after a reliable professional service this definitely isn’t the company for you.

Had our domestic home security installed a number of years ago. Called them out at various intervals, engineer absolutely brilliant. Time before last I offered him a cup of coffee before he left. That took us into another hour. A very very expensive cup of coffee! Recently system broke down. Pleased to see the same engineer. After 2 hours said it was the cable but didn't know where. Husband looked couldn't find any fault on the cable. I have confidence in this particular engineer but at a cost of £448 for 2 hours work and not fixed! Under law we were meant to have been informed of a call out charge. But not informed of the cost. I did originally put 1 star but after complaining about the price and not being informed, they made a significant reduction. I therefore have changed my 1 star to 3.

Mark the owner was able to visit us very quickly to determine our requirements, a prompt quote followed and we had a great technician, Michael, out within the week who completed thorough checks on our systems. Michael was very professional and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Very happy we decided to use Universal Fire & Security, a professional company throughout.

Universal have been a cost effective and reliable service to the Home, the staff are prompt professional in there replies regarding queries and call outs, engineers are prompt, polite and informative when visiting the home, the latter being of upmost importance to our homes staff and residents.

Very helpful, friendly and have a great team of knowledgeable people 😀
