What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Security Alert UK Ltd provides event stewarding and security services, work that reviewers describe with sharply divided opinions. Several accounts focus on the conduct of staff at public events, where attendees report difficulties with bag checks and the handling of personal possessions left in the care of stewards; these reviewers characterise the service as unhelpful and describe feeling that their concerns were not properly addressed. On the other side, a long-standing client praises the professionalism of the teams encountered at assignments and singles out Simon as approachable and knowledgeable about the contracts the firm handles.

The recurring theme across the negative accounts is communication at the point of contact, with customers describing staff as abrupt and inadequately trained for the situations they faced. Praise, where it appears, centres on the competence of individual operatives and the confidence they inspire at larger engagements. The spread of opinion suggests experiences vary considerably depending on the event and the personnel on duty. Reports about the handling of confiscated items at festivals in Derbyshire form the most detailed criticism, while the positive account points to the calibre of contracts held as evidence of capability in the security sector.

Poor. Borderline useless. My experience with SA UK is of the perspective of a paying customer at an event SA UK were stewarding. I have noticed this behaviour at several of these events, however this time it directly affected me so I feel compelled to review. We had paid for good floor seats at a boxing event. It's common knowledge that when you're at floor level if anyone stands up it immediately blocks the view for many behind and this was policed diligently during the early part of the night, however once the main event started it was like the security completely disappeared. The zone we were sat in had a specific colour of wrist band. As soon as the main event started and the lights went down, 5 or 6 people made their way to the front of the block and stood right in front of us against the railings, not a single wristband in sight, let alone the correct colour. Our view (and about 10 rows behind) are now 100% blocked. We tried to reason with them to move out of the way, but we were wholly ignored and met with aggression. Several of us gestured to the closest member of SA UK security to do something about the gate-crashers, he sauntered over and said, "What am I supposed to do?" - Your job! You're supposed to do your job! The top guys at SA UK who look after boxers, celebs etc. are probably great, but the crowd control leave a lot to be desired! At every boxing event I've been to I've seen this happen - spectators pouring in from all sections to get a better seat/view as soon as the lights go down for the main event. Why bother paying for good seats when it seems like you can pick & choose!
