Mayson Security Services Ltd

Mayson Security Services Ltd was founded in February 2004 in Barnsley. The company opened a Sheffield office after winning contracts including the University of Sheffield. It is accredited by the NSI. Its directors are John May and Dale Harrison. All intruder alarm systems are installed to European Regulations and have an NSI (NACOSS) certificate awarded. Mayson is a manufacturer approved installer for Nexans cabling systems with warranties available.

All of its engineers are employed directly by the company. It has installed systems for small shops, university buildings and stately homes. It has installed stand alone access systems for individual users and public sector buildings with high volume people traffic. Off-site monitoring is provided via a dedicated 24 hour central station in Plymouth. It installs, maintains and repairs electronic security including intruder alarms, CCTV and door intercoms.

Burglar alarms and CCTV systems are fitted across Sheffield by this security system supplier, and complete installations from start to finish are the work most often described. Professionalism among the engineers is a theme running through the feedback, with customers calling the fitters friendly, tidy and thorough when explaining how the equipment works. Speed of response earns frequent praise: one caller received same-day attendance after reporting a fault, while another was talked through a failed alarm battery late at night after a power cut and found the advice calm and knowledgeable.

Competitive pricing for the work carried out is mentioned alongside clear communication before and during installation. Routine maintenance visits are arranged at pre-agreed times, and reviewers note that extra jobs, such as repairing a security light, are dealt with quickly and without fuss. The director is thanked for a kind gesture and Dale is named for replacing an alarm battery courteously. Hard-to-find components were supplied at short notice, and the instructions given on using the finished system are described as comprehensive, rounding off accounts of efficient, well-organised service.
