Vespasian Security

Vespasian Security was formed in February 2006. It began as a family-owned business and is now a national company. Its client portfolio includes national monuments, large business facilities, live events, film locations, licensed venues, private individuals and local government in the UK and abroad.

Its door supervisors and stewards work at events such as festivals and football grounds. Broadside Training is its sister company, offering courses including First Aid and Spectator Safety. The legal entity is Vespasian Security Limited, registered in England and Wales.

Event stewarding and security guarding are the services most often described by people who have worked with this Portsmouth company, whose personnel are consistently commended for their professional conduct and steady handling of difficult moments. Damien is named for the respectful way he helped a member of the public while on duty, and Jack and Danny are singled out for the reassurance their presence gave at a venue. Reviewers often mention approachable staff working alongside a disciplined, organised approach, a combination noted at events and on SIA training courses alike.

The training side attracts particular praise for its tutors, and Claire is credited with administrative support described as extremely helpful. Staff welfare and safety receive serious attention, and clients speak of a family atmosphere that does not compromise standards, with people, property and guests protected to a high level. Courteous conduct, whether from guarding teams or office personnel, is a point that comes up often, and those who have worked alongside the company note the same civil manner. The ability to keep events running smoothly while remaining personable is the quality most consistently highlighted across the feedback received.
