Burgess Security Systems Limited

Burgess Security Systems Limited has provided commercial and residential security solutions for over 35 years. The company is based in Manchester and operates throughout Manchester and the Northwest. Ross Burgess, Managing Director, has worked in the security industry since 1979. Marie Burgess has been with the organisation since 2004, Julie Woodward is Office Manager and joined in November 2017, Don Robson is Lead Service Engineer, and Terry Wood is a Forensic Accountant.

Engineers include Jamie Lee, George Hampson, and Riley Lavery, an Apprentice Engineer who started in July 2025. It supplies and installs all aspects of electronic security systems, offering a fully tailored service from design to handover, including flexible maintenance and service agreements.

Domestic and business premises both feature among the projects described, with customers noting the swift response they received after earlier providers had let annual servicing slip. The advice offered at the quotation stage is repeatedly praised, and Ross is named for sparing one customer the expense of a replacement alarm by tracing a fault that did not call for new equipment. Simon is mentioned alongside him for handling the quoting and booking arrangements clearly, while Jaime and Riley are credited with the installation work and with explaining the system in plain terms.

Reliability and punctuality emerge as consistent themes, whether the job concerns an intruder alarm, a pharmacy or a home security upgrade. Reviewers also highlight fair pricing, helpful office staff such as Julie, and engineers who sorted out unexpected difficulties without fuss, including damage to wiring. Tidiness once the work is finished and clear communication from the first enquiry through to payment recur across the accounts, and the installations themselves cover intruder alarms and wider security systems that customers describe as well fitted and effective in everyday use.
