The Alarm Man is repeatedly praised for alarm servicing, fault-finding and new installations around Glasgow, with Stephen handling enquiries and quotes and engineers including Callum, David and Alex fitting panels, replacing batteries and interlinked smoke alarms, and patiently explaining how systems work. Many reviewers mention same-day or next-day callouts for faulty or constantly triggering alarms and describe reasonable, clearly quoted pricing. One detailed review describes a difficult experience taking over a pre-existing camera and alarm set-up left by a previous installer, with ongoing app access problems and an uncomfortable phone call after a negative review was posted, which stands apart from the otherwise consistently positive feedback. As an alarm installation and servicing specialist in Glasgow, The Alarm Man holds a 5-star average from 309 Google reviews.

5.0 / 5 · 309 totalThe technician visited for an alarm MOT, changed the batteries, and carried out a full inspection. He didn't just do the job; he also gave clear guidance on why the alarm triggered one early morning for no good reason and provided excellent how to resolve such issues in the future. Highly professional, transparent, and gave me complete peace of mind. Highly recommended!
Good, quick communication from Stephen. Professional job by Callum and his colleague. Came to the west end. Clearly very knowledgeable. Price as advertised. Will be recommending to friends and family.
Stephen was very professional in every way from initial contact, communication and timeous response during out of hours periods to effect a solution. Work was carried out efficiently and expert knowledge provided on the way forward with maintenance and insurance requirements.

Edit: Literally minutes after leaving my review, I get an angry phone call from Tracy at The Alarm Man. Straight away, I’m told my review has been reported to Google and will be removed because it’s full of lies. Aggressive & threatening would be a fair description of this call. Why phone me like this after all discussions had ended? It shouldn’t be a surprise if I leave a review and it certainly isn’t a productive way to get someone to remove or change a review. Calling me a liar because you have 5 star feedback and asking me what that says about me, all I can say is that if you phone people with that attitude while calling call them a liar within minutes of a review appearing, what does that say about you? It might explain the absence of negative reviews if you are harassing people to remove them. It’s not a pleasant experience writing a negative review but I stand by it and given the expense and effort from me to end up in the situation I’m now in, a review is my only means of redress while I’m out of pocket and exhausted by this whole experience. ………… Turned to the alarm man after being let down by installer in previous home. Helpfully came out but couldn’t take over the set up I had as it wasn’t one they worked with. Eventually, I decided to get a new alarm set up at a cost of £780. My decision. Left positive feedback on here but now now deleted to add this. On moving home, I asked them if they worked with the alarm and camera set up I was inheriting. Had no contact for the original installer (only on Facebook and I’m not). The answer was clear - “these are the systems we use”. Asked them to come out to set up the alarm and cameras. What I got was the alarm sorted but the cameras were a different story. Most answers were “don’t know”. Was told prior owners still connected (they were not). Told to contact prior installer to deregister. No contact number for them so had to go through Pyronix customer support. The Alarm Man suggested I could upgrade to a newer setup or change to Ring cameras which they could install. They just couldn’t do anything with the cameras I had despite telling me they work with them. Not keen on spending more since I have a system that works if just setup. Had to contact Pyronix customer support directly. Spent the next 2 months or so asking them for help, much of which I would never understand. After 2 months of trying, I went back to the Alarm Man. Now I’m told they could call the company when they come out. I had to ask why they told me these are the systems they use to then change their mind. And why now tell me they could phone the company when they came out but couldn’t do that in the first place. I can’t get an answer to either question but Stephen tells me I’m questioning their integrity. I’m looking for answers because I’m willing to pay for the experts to do their job and not leave me to deal with this. It’s been stressful and I feel let down by a professional company who does this for a living. Had brief access to the App for the alarms after they came, then noticed ‘engineer’ changed something on the interface. I don’t know what this means or who changed it but I have no access to the fob, get no notifications for the alarm they set up after paying for the years cover/call outs etc and agreeing to pay the £30 subscription fee for the App I can’t even access. Upshot is I’m left with cameras and an alarm setup that doesn’t work for me and I have the alarm man to thank for that. I put my trust in them and have nothing to show for it.
Friendly, professional and courteous. Stephen offers a great service and very knowledgeable. Knew exactly what the issue was - battery change and faulty tamper - and provided lots of explanation and information. Wouldn’t hesitate to call again.
Callum arrived on time was really pleasant gave me excellent advice and was able to remove the electrical parts of our old alarm system as requested. Much more cost effective than ADT
