Great service
Today I had one of the worst and most distressing experiences I have ever had in a nightlife venue, directly due to the behaviour and lack of response from the security staff provided by Scope Security Ltd. When I was at the exit trying to explain a very vulnerable situation I was experiencing, the security staff repeatedly dismissed me by saying “it wasn’t me, it wasn’t me”, over and over, like robots. The situation was clearly bigger than individual responsibility — they were wearing security vests and representing the security team as a whole. At no point did anyone take accountability, listen properly, or attempt to help. I understand that security staff are doing their job, but there is no justification for treating someone this way, especially a woman, and completely disregarding a person’s dignity and safety. What is particularly upsetting is that I was simply trying to enjoy the night with my friends. The venue was extremely overcrowded, there were people who were clearly under the influence of drugs, and even in the designated smoking area I was being shouted at by men calling me “beautiful,” behaving in a predatory way. In that moment, what I needed was support and intervention from security — not dismissal. Instead of being listened to, I was treated with disregard and removed from the venue, despite having paid for entry and the cloakroom service. I wasn’t asking to be let back in or for any form of compensation — I was asking to be treated like a human being. This experience left me feeling unsafe, violated, and unsupported. Situations like this should be handled with care, professionalism, and basic respect. What happened was unacceptable, and I hope this review encourages serious reflection and improvement in how vulnerable situations are handled, particularly when women raise concerns
Absolutely appalling choices of security from this firm. I suggest, you do your proper checks on each security they send before hiring this company for your business needs. An incident occurred with one of their security from this firm. I am shocked how he was able to get his SIA License. I asked him if we could leave the venue and return, in which he said no. Fine. However, we witnessed he allowed another person to leave and come back, despite him saying no to us. Fine. He then allowed a woman in without checking her ID, so I asked about that. He then got defensive and challenged us on. He got verbally abusive and provoked the situation for some kind of physical fight ‘around the corner’. In which I was shocked, as a SIA SECURITY, under Private Security Industry Act 2001- you are supposed to protect people, be professional, act with fairness. Neither of that was applied. Mo’ the supervisor came and de-escalated the situation. Mo handled the situation how a security should act. It’s embarrassing how another security had to calm the situation between a public individual and their member of Security team. Scope Security need to properly train their security with basic human respect. A security was questioned about his actions towards certain situation, instead he clearly felt personal that he was questioned about his decisions making and instead made threats and inticed violence, to which his supervisor had to step in to de-escalate. A SIA security is supposed to protect the members of public, not endanger them…. Scope security need to look into this and take action. I have photos of this security, but let me not publicly expose him for his sake. Instead I insist management to speak to Mo regarding this incident and report back on this review the outcome. This security needs to be reminded how to properly act as a security and as an human being. Alternatively a report will be made to SIA to investigate this security’s actions. not being in line with their code of conduct. There are too many SIA security’s abusing their role, and SIA need tighter regulation towards this. Being a SIA isn’t just about getting your ‘money’… you have a duty to uphold. Don’t abuse it.
Great professional security service.
