I M M S Fire & Security Ltd

IMMS Fire & Security Ltd is a family-run and family-owned company that has been installing burglar alarms for over 30 years. It started as a small father and son security business. David Carlin is the Managing Director. The company is SSAIB recognised and holds a Certificate of Recognition from SSAIB, and is a member of the BAFE Fire Safety Register.

Its security products are insurance approved. IMMS Fire & Security Ltd serves Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian, and provides services across Scotland and the UK. Its main services include intruder alarms, CCTV systems, door entry and access control, fire alarms, and smoke and heat detection.

Prompt responses and dependable aftercare recur throughout feedback on this Edinburgh firm, which customers describe in connection with intruder alarms, door sensors, monitored systems and CCTV. Several reviewers highlight how quickly enquiries are answered, with one instance of an engineer reaching a property within four hours despite a busy schedule, and another of a telephone call returned in about ten minutes. Lindy is named repeatedly for her helpfulness on the phone, talking customers through fixes and arranging visits, while David is credited with swift replies and sound professional advice, and Adam with a tidy, well-explained installation.

An attempted break-in prompted police praise for the deterrent effect of the alarm, and a monitored system is said to have restored peace of mind. Reviewers frequently point to that installations were completed speedily, that mess was cleared away, and that pricing represented good value, with upgrades and options set out clearly beforehand. The quality of the equipment and the professionalism of the engineers are recurring themes, as is the willingness to return after the job. Work covers domestic alarm upgrades, new-build installations and CCTV.
