3.4 / 5 · 11 totalI love to read Rock Steady Security's policy on Wheelchair users. I went to see Marti Pellow on Saturday 5th July 2025 at Edinburgh Castle. My friend is in a wheelchair, we arranged for a taxi to take us via the Johnson Terrace up to Lawnmarket. We got stop at the Johnson Terrace Security and told we had to push her up in the wheelchair or she can walk. I saw your service driving down to the gate. It was totally unfair. Instead of the taxi costing us £8-10 we paid £20, the driver had to drop us off outside Deacon Brodies Traven. I had to push the heavy wheelchair along Lawnmarket whilst my other friend went to get help. Needless to say, I hurt my back. Please review your disability policy for people in wheelchair. Rock Steady how would you feel if this happened to a member of your family. I will send a letter to the council for Edinburgh asking them to review your policy.
Rock steady were the security for Saturday 5th July edinburgh castle marti pellow gig. They were shocking they never once put people back in there seat who come from the back. Standing in front of people who had paid alot to be down the front. These people were getting people down the front upset security was asked so many times to move them thay done nothing. I've been to many gigs and never seen fighting that unfolded because of the upset. People coming down stealing people's seats not moving and causing arguments. Rock steady security was shambolic not once did they move the people they should have and stood and disputed the genuine people who did have seat. They made what was to be a fantastic night terrible so many genuine marti fans went home feeling very unsafe. Not the feeling ive ever had at a marti gig. Marti was wonderful but security should all be trained to cope with these situations and be able to stop escalation. So sad .
I was at a concert at Barrowlands Ballroom and a man acted inappropraite towards me, a lovely gentleman named Thomas assisted me and dealt with the situation accordingly and was brilliant, cannot thank him enough. Brilliant service and really put me at ease.
Had the misfortune to have to deal with a certain supervisor at Paul Wellers gig at Edinburgh Castle , as my wife has difficulty walking at the moment she's in a wheelchair and was seated in the section 3 area with assistance seating , I was asked if we were definitely in this area despite her sitting in a wheel chair and tkts shown , i was twice asked to pull my seat back towards a back wall which was only sitting a matter of 4-5 inches off the wall , ridiculous , this same supervisor gave clearance to at least 5 people who were in the standing section to come onto this section that was already full with people who booked assistance so not only were people asked to move to accommodate ones not booked in it clearly limited an already a tight space with overcrowding. He seriously needs to get rid of his jobs worth attitude it helps no one and gets people's backs up .
